Lindsay Ciombor BrislinD.M.D.

Dr. Brislin grew up in Plainville, Massachusetts where she first recognized and developed her passion for the health care field and dentistry. Spending time with her father Dr. Ronald Ciombor in his dental office grew the desire to pursue dentistry as a career. Patients often comment at how similar her gentle chair side approach is to her father’s. She believes a healthy smile parallels a healthy individual and she does her best to instill this outlook in her patients. Dr. Brislin is a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts where she ran track and played basketball. She went on to the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and earned a B.S. degree in psychology, with a pre-medical focus.

After college she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts were she earned her doctorate in medical dentistry, graduating in the top eight percent of her class. This class rank prompted some to encourage her to pursue a dental specialty, however, her desire to work with families and develop long term patient relationships steered her decision to work with her father in his general and family practice. At Tufts University Dr. Brislin was the recipient of the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration award for excellence in clinical practice management. Additionally, she was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which was established to promote and recognize scholarship and character among students of dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Dental Association and the Pawtucket Dental Society. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband Christopher and their children.

As a bilingual dental hygienist with four and a half years of experience, I feel very strongly about encouraging optimal oral hygiene habits and delivering friendly and comfortable dental visits for all of Dr. Brislin’s patients. My obligation as a dental professional includes patient education, providing exceptional care, and the reinforcement of good oral hygiene habits.

I graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island with an associate’s degree in Science in 2009. In January of 2013 I was hired at Dr. Brislin’s office where I continue to learn and expand my skills by implementing new techniques to provide the best quality of care for the patients in her office.

For over thirty five years I have worked in the dental field, starting my career as a chair-side assistant to Dr. Brislin’s father, Dr. Ronald Ciombor. As the practice has continued to grow and change I still feel the same sense of commitment & enthusiasm for the practice and patients as I did in the beginning. My position here at the office has allowed me to enjoy not only a professional relationship with many patients but also many friendships. I was raised in Pawtucket and it is not unusual for me to “bump” into patients outside the office. My husband Paul and I have two grown sons and a large extended family that keep us very busy.

I have been a chair-side assistant of Dr. Brislin’s since 2010. I have a wide range of duties from assisting Dr. Brislin with in-office whitening treatments, ordering supplies and everything in between. I really enjoy working with the patients; it’s the best part of my job and the patients always make it fun and interesting. Dr. Brislin and I believe that patient care and comfort are paramount and we make sure that everyone is treated with great care. When I am not at the office, I enjoy singing, being with family and friends, and going to the movies.

I have had the pleasure of joining Dr. Brislin and her team in 2016. I have been in the dental field since 2013 and I can honestly say that I have never loved a job so much! It is my belief that helping people with their oral health is important, and making sure patients feel comfortable is my number one priority. The greatest feeling is when an anxious patient leaves the office feeling happy and at ease. My responsibilities at the office range from working along side Dr. Brislin, staining and glazing CEREC crowns and everything in between!
When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our furry children! We love being active outdoors and taking care of our new home!
